Peskov: Kremlin relies on mutuality principle in sanctions

MOSCOW, Apr 16 (PRIME) -- Russia presumes the principle of mutuality key for sanctions, spokesman for the Kremlin Dmitry Peskov told reporters on Friday.

"In general, the principle of mutuality is not something we have cancelled in this issue, it is crucial. But I shall tell you that it will depend on the decision that the head of the state," Peskov said.

Washington imposed new sanctions on Russia on Thursday, targeting the country’s primary state debt, six Russian technology companies, and 32 entities and individuals, and expelled 10 personnel from the diplomatic mission in Washington in response to the SolarWinds cyberattack and election interference.

Peskov said that that Russia's macroeconomic stability is fully secure and the Russian authorities act successfully and effectively.

The official also said commenting a speech of U.S. President Joe Biden about Russia, that the sanction tendency of the Americans is unacceptable.
